we're back and greener than ever!

We’re so excited to partner with 4Ocean on our greening efforts on site at the Festival this year.

4ocean was founded on the belief that business can be a force for good and that the single actions of individual people, collectively, have the power to change the world. As both a public benefit corporation and Certified B Corp, they’re committed to ending the ocean plastic crisis.

While their professional, full-time captains and crews recover harmful marine debris that’s already polluting the ocean, they also work to stop plastic pollution at its source by educating people about this global crisis and empowering them to end their dependence on single-use plastic.

Every 4ocean product purchased comes with our One Pound Promise to pull one pound of trash from the ocean, rivers, and coastlines. Every pound pulled helps fund their global ocean cleanup operation, supports a growing movement to end the world’s reliance on single-use plastic, and advances their mission to end the ocean plastic crisis.

No more single use plastic!

We have eliminated single use plastic water bottles throughout the grounds, as well as plastic cups at our bars. We also have free refill stations for your reusable bottles!

Recycling & Composting

We have once again partnered with Garbage to Garden to tackle this year’s festival clean-up. Thanks to their help, we are able to continue to divert recyclable and compostable materials away from the landfill! Garbage to Garden is a locally inspired, community-driven company founded in 2012 and based in Portland, ME.

In an effort to further improve our sustainability efforts, Levitate recommends that all vendors and artists use compostable containers and materials onsite this year! Compostable products are lighter impact alternatives to everyday plastic and Styrofoam disposables. They use less energy to manufacture and cause less pollution to the world around us.
